Use your hands and play with clay! Create art pieces which represent your heritage and community.

Using clay, I would invite you to create two separate pieces of art. The first piece will reflect your cultural heritage. This can be something in your community, your past or something personal about yourself. It can be abstract or be specific in detail.

Your second piece of clay is about a community you are a part of now, whether that be about family, uni/studies, interest or hobby or a new custom. This may be something that has been introduced to you since your time in Brisbane or Australia. It can be abstract or be specific in detail.

Today’s session is not about creating something that is perfect. Rather, I would like you to go with the flow of what feels comfortable and connect with the experience of working with your hands, and with the energy among us all.

Clay and other art materials are provided. No experience of art, or artistic ability is required.
