Book a one on one consult or join a small group training session (max 5 people) with students from the School of Human Movement and Nutrition Science studying exercise and sport sciences or clinical exercise physiology. Receive free tailored fitness advice based on your history and goals. Services are closely supervised by either an Accredited Exercise Scientist or Accredited Exercise Physiologist, creating an environment where students are able to gain their compulsory course practicum. Learn strategies to enhance your physical wellbeing through exercise and behaviour change. *All students and staff wanting to engage in a one on one consultation or join a small group training session must fill in a consent, registration and exercise (APSS) pre-screening form and submit to their exercise consultant prior to their appointment.

What you get when you book with an Exercise Physiologist

  • Receive an individualised exercise plan
  • Chat one on one with your consultant and re-book as many consultations as neccessary
  • Discuss your history, medical issues, and fitness goals
  • Small group or one on one training options depending on your suitability for telehealth services, exercise preference, medical history and risk stratification (low, medium or high risk) - this is a private group administered in UQ Mates for those who have had initial consultations
  • Book in as regularly as needed to check on your progress and keep you moving toward your health & fitness goals
  • Treat, assist and manage a range of physical conditions and injuries, or improve your general physical health and wellbeing
  • Referrals to free nutrition consultations to support your fitness and health goals
  • Services are delivered by students studying an exercise and sport sciences or clinical exercise physiology under the supervision of fully qualified Accredited Exercise Scientists or Exercise Physiologists.
