R U OK? Day comes to Herston!
Where: Outside Cafe Dose
When: Tuesday 10 September
11.30am to 1pm
What is "R U OK? Day"?
R U OK? Day is our national day of action to remind us that every day is the day to ask, ‘are you OK?’ and start a meaningful conversation about mental health and wellbeing whenever we spot the signs that someone they care about might be struggling with life.
On R U OK? Day, we are also spotlighting the importance of checking-in with ourselves and practicing self-care. The regular practice of self-care has been shown to be helpful in reducing stress, improving concentration, and improving your overall wellbeing. Self-care has various types, including emotional, practical, physical, mental, social, and spiritual self-care. This event is all about checking in with others but also with yourself.
We will be painting the Public Health Building Courtyard yellow just for R U OK? Day, so you won’t miss it!
