We will ensure that our community can still come together on campus and online, as our global and UQ community continue to meet the challenges that COVID-19 poses.

What's happening?

5 October
Sexual Violence Awareness Month (SVAM) is held in October to raise community awareness about sexual violence, promote the support options available to people affected by sexual violence, and continue to uphold the message that sexual violence will not be tolerated. We will have a range of events with UQ and community supports.
15 - 30 October
Celebrate the blooming of Jacarandas with BLOOM Festival! In it's fifth year, Bloom will fill St Lucia, Gatton and Herston campuses with vibrant, innovative activities and celebrations for everyone to enjoy. Over the course of the festival, we welcome students, staff, alumni and the UQ community to relax under their favourite jacaranda trees, explore our light installations and interactive exhibits, enjoy live music and workshops and indulge in pop-up picnics and indigenous foods.

COVID Safe Events

All events and spaces are operating in line with current guidelines. We ask that you please practice social distancing at all times.

You may attend an event or activity at a UQ location providing:

  • Have not been in close contact with an active COVID-19 case and are required to quarantine
  • You are feeling well and have not had a fever, cough, sore throat, headache, distorted sense of taste, shortness of breath, chills, vomiting or any cold/flu like symptoms within the last 24 hours.

GOMA - Get Up, Stand Up: Indigenous Australian Art Collection

4th National Indigenous Art Triennial: Ceremony

Oceanic Thinking exhibition
