Respect Network Workshop 2 - Responding to gender-based violence (Gatton)
This workshop builds on the knowledge developed in the previous course by focusing on how to respond to disclosures of sexual and gender-based violence using a trauma-informed approach.
Key topics explored in this workshop include:
• Understanding the neurobiology of trauma and how it impacts a victim/survivor
• Practice the skills of compassionately responding to a disclosure of sexual or gender-based violence
• Learning about the support and reporting options available to students and staff that have experienced GBV both at UQ and within the community
About Respect at Uni Week 2026
Respect at Uni Week 2026 encourages us all to consider and learn about ways we can work together to prevent violence and harassment in our communities and create safe and respectful spaces wherever we are.

- St Lucia, Campbell Place (Thursday 26 March, 11am-2pm)
- Herston, Outside Cafe Dose (Tuesday 31 March, 11:30am-1:30pm)
