UQ Ally Wear It Purple Day Suitcase Rummage: St Lucia
Clothing that fits us, affirms our gender or idenity and makes us feel like ourselves can really change to the way we turn up to work, to class and in our broader lives and communities.
In recognition of Wear It Purple Day 2026, the UQ Ally Network will be be hosting a suitcase rummage on Wednesday 2 September for our whole community. Payments will be accepted as a donation to the UQ LGBTIQA+ Scholarship in a 'choose how much you pay' system, meaning anyone can participate on the day.

St Lucia: UQ Warehouse
- Location: Building 99, 2 Glasshouse Road (up large ramp to large warehouse)
- Drop off times: 7:30am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
St Lucia: Learning Innovation Building

- Drop off times: 10am – 4pm, Monday – Friday

Donation details
We are accepting:
- Adult and children’s clothing (like shirts, pants, jackets)
- Accessories (Belts, Bags, clean shoes)
- Jewellery (excluding earrings)
We are not accepting:
- Furniture and Household items
- Underwear and socks
- Swimwear/togs
- Damaged or heavily worn items
All donations must be:
- Clean and freshly washed
- In decent to good condition
- Free from stains, rips, strong odours, or significant damage
- Brought in a bag for easier handling and collection
