Hear first-hand from elite athletes on their experiences in their respective sporting fields; how they started, their achievements and how their grit, determination and resilience has shaped the pathway for their own studies and work. If you are working towards becoming an elite athlete and want to how to make it your career, or if you are wanting to know how to transition from elite athlete into other areas of work, this panel discussion is for you.

About our Panel members
Richard Powell, Angus Scott-Young, Caitlin Sargent-Jones, Jacinta Carroll and Lakeisha Patterson are professional athletes in the sporting fields of rowing, rugby, athletics, waterskiing, weightlifting and swimming. The panellists will provide insights into how their involvement in sport at an elite level has advanced their current studies and career journeys. They will discuss the skills and capabilities they’ve developed as elite athletes, how they’ve applied their experiences to their current roles and provide advice to students looking to commence a career in sport.
