Have your say in UQ's new plan for supporting students' health and wellbeing
The UQ Health Promotion team is working on a new Health & Wellbeing Strategy for UQ. The Strategy aims to promote students' health and wellbeing in all aspects of university life, enhance our community's sense of belonging, empower students and staff to support themselves and others, and foster a culture of compassion at UQ.
To ensure that we meet our community's needs, we want to hear from students about the factors that impact your physical, mental, social, emotional, and spiritual health and wellbeing at university. We would like to invite you to participate in a focus group with other UQ students to discuss what health and wellbeing mean to you, how you use our support services, and ideas about how UQ could best support you and your peers.
This focus group will take 1 hour and participants will be compensated for their contributions with a $20 gift card. Your insights will help us support the UQ community to thrive.
We invite you to express your interest in participating in one of our four focus group sessions:
Tuesday 27th August from 2-3pm (In person at the Social Sciences Building, Room 24-S603)
Thursday 29th August from 4-5pm (Online via Zoom, link TBA)
Friday 30th August from 1-2pm (In person at the Physics Annexe, Workshop A 06-223)
Thursday 5th September from 2-3pm (Online via Zoom, link TBA)
All participants will be contacted to confirm their participation in the focus groups. If you are invited to attend an online session, you will receive the Zoom link and a consent form to your student email address prior to your chosen session.
We look forward to hearing your insights!
