Join us to recognise Queensland Mental Health Week (QMHW) at Herston and learn how to nurture your individual mental health and wellbeing, as well as how to support others!

You can look forward to:

  • Terrarium-making Workshop — Research has found that having houseplants can benefit your mental health and wellbeing. Come along to our free workshop on how to make a terrarium to add some greenery to your surroundings, and take your little green friend home with you!
  • QMHW Photobooth — Make memories with your friends, colleagues and classmates and snap away at the QMHW UQ photobooth
  • Blender Bike — Stretch out your legs after sitting down for lectures or studying and enjoy a refreshing smoothie while cycling.
  • Sausage Sizzle — The Faculty of Medicine OHS team is back on the grills to serve up some snags

About Queensland Mental Health Week Events

Queensland Mental Health Week 2023 (7-15 October) aims to raise awareness of the mental health and wellbeing of individuals and communities here at UQ and in Queensland broadly.

Explore the week full of activities packed with self-care activities, blender bikes, stallholders and resources for your mental health and wellbeing, photobooths, and more. In the lead-up to exams, it is more important than ever for us all to take care, check-in with each other, and seek help when needed! Check out UQ's Queensland Mental Health Week website for more information.

QMHW at UQ is organised by UQ Wellbeing, a health promotion program proudly funded by Allianz Care Australia.
