Take some time for your mental health, and remind yourself that your mental health and wellbeing matters.

Make a terrarium to bring some greenery into your room/home for yourself, or as a gift for a friend/loved one! Or find some calm in clay, and sculpt your own art pieces with the UQ Counsellors. Molding, shaping and creating with your hands can bring you some tranquility amidst the rush and chaos of daily life.

What's more, draw on some paw-sitivity from puppy pats to recharge your feel-good battery and lower your stress levels.

Mark your calendars and bring your friends along and let's normalise, prioritise and take time for our mental health and wellbeing today, and every day!

About Uni Mental Health Day

Celebrate 2026 UMHD with UQ

University ‘Uni’ Mental Health Day (UMHD) is an annual campaign held around the world to bring awareness and focus to the unique challenges students face to their mental health and social and emotional wellbeing when studying and working at a university.

Look out for activities, workshops and events promoting mental health across all campuses, and learn about the support and services available to you here at UQ and in the wider community.

Take some time to remind yourself, peers and loved ones to take care for one's mental health and wellbeing. UMHD is hosted by UQ Health Promotion. Learn more about UMHD here.
