Your career is rarely a straight line – it’s a journey with multiple pathways, unexpected turns, and exciting opportunities.

This interactive workshop, inspired by Designing Your Life by Bill Burnett and Dave Evans, helps you build a Career Action Plan that’s both strategic and flexible.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Rethink Your Path: Learn Design Thinking principles to reframe life problems and brainstorm alternative, viable 5-year career and personal plans, moving beyond the idea of finding "the one" perfect job.
  • Assess Your Life Dashboard: Gauge your current energy and satisfaction across four key areas to identify where you need to focus your efforts for a well-lived life.
  • Generate and Test Ideas: Develop three distinct Odyssey Plans and learn how to prototype and test your best ideas.
  • Overcome "Gravity Problems": Learn to identify and reframe obstacles that are unchangeable circumstances (like gravity), shifting your focus from "solving" to designing your life around them.
  • Make Better Decisions: Understand the Decision-Making Process which combines your emotional intelligence (EQ) and intelligence quotient (IQ) to gather options, narrow down, choose, and let go of what isn't working.

Pro-tip: To get the absolute most out of this workshop, come prepared with at least one draft of an Odyssey Plan! Download it at: https://designingyour.life/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/DYL-Odyssey-Planning-Worksheet-v21.pdf
