At UQ, we have students from all over Australia, and all across the world. While studying at University can be a very exciting time, we can sometimes feel lonely and disconnected if we are living away form home. This R U OK? Day, join UQ Wellbeing for letter writing where you will have a range of cards, stamps and pens at your fingertips to make it easy (and free) for you to write a letter home to your friends, family, and loved ones. It doesn't matter how much you write (you could even draw a picture), this activity is for everyone!

This letter writing activity has been organised by UQ Wellbeing which is funded by Allianz.

About R U Ok? 2022

R U OK? Day is an annual suicide prevention campaign aiming to inspire and empower people to meaningfully connect with those around them and to provide support when someone is in need. The R U OK? Day theme this year is “Are they really OK? Ask them today”. We are all encouraged to Ask R U OK?, Listen, Encourage Action, and Check In.

At UQ we're joining in on the conversation, across all our campuses with activations at Herston and Gatton on Wednesday 7 September and St Lucia on Thursday 8 September.
