R U OK? Day 2022: UQ LIT 4km Charity Run + Bake Sale and Post-event networking
UQLIT (UQ Ladies in Technology) is collaborating with UQ Wellbeing + UQWN + UQEUS + UQCS for a charity 4km FUN RUN for the organisation "R U OK?". These amazing societies want to inspire everyone to ask that simple but important question, Are you Ok? & start a conversation that could change someone's life.
The event will start and end at Student Central, with two passages, one for those who want to run & one for walking. Snacks and water stations will also be provided on the day, as well as a bake sale organised by UQ LIT. The 4km FUN RUN will start from 3:30pm with the food, drinks, and bake sale running until 6pm.

R U OK? is an organisation that believes in its mission to socially connect people with the community & encouraging a network of support for each other during hardships in life . When we invest more time in our relationships, it can make it easier for people to speak up, access help if needed and access it early
About R U Ok? 2022
R U OK? Day is an annual suicide prevention campaign aiming to inspire and empower people to meaningfully connect with those around them and to provide support when someone is in need. The R U OK? Day theme this year is “Are they really OK? Ask them today”. We are all encouraged to Ask R U OK?, Listen, Encourage Action, and Check In.
At UQ we're joining in on the conversation, across all our campuses with activations at Herston and Gatton on Wednesday 7 September and St Lucia on Thursday 8 September.
