Lareina
Area of Study: Masters of Educational Studies
Hi, I'm Lareina. I embarked on a journey in 2022, leaving a multinational internet industry team in China for a Master's in Educational Studies (focusing on Leadership, Guidance Counselling, and Careers). I am an active HASS101 facilitator and Portfolio Project contributor, helping students integrate and develop employability skills. Beyond academics, I hosts HASS Postgraduate welcome sessions, represent HASS as a student ambassador, and lecture in UQU's English oral proficiency workshops. I aim to passionately foster a sense of belonging among students, especially international peers. In daily life, I find solace in music, read avidly, and enjoy profound contemplation.
Olivia
Area of Study: Bachelors of International Studies
Hi, I'm Olivia. I am undertaking my Bachelor of International Studies, majoring in International Relations and French. I live on the Gold Coast so my lifestyle is a mix of city and coastal living. If I am not studying then you will find me at local art exhibitions, exploring the hinterland or playing a game of tennis with friends! I am excited to connect with everyone embarking on their journey and share stories of my own in hopes of encouraging them.
Najma
Area of Study: Bachelors of Arts / Bachelors of Education (Secondary)
Hi, my name is Najma! I'm an undergraduate student hailing from Caboolture who's currently studying a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Education (Secondary) majoring in Geography and Psychology. I chose to study education because I want to inspire students to realise their potential and help them chase their dreams. Alongside full-time uni, I work two jobs (one at McDonald's and the other as a Student Ambassador at UQ). In 2024, I'll also be engaging in a volunteer student mentor position with the Young Achievers Program at UQ. I'm an enthusiastic, friendly, and relatively outgoing person who enjoys music, crafts, puzzles, movies, reading, and taekwondo.
