Meet our 2023 HASS Faculty Student Guides

Lareina

Area of Study: Masters of Educational Studies

Hi, I'm Lareina. I embarked on a journey in 2022, leaving a multinational internet industry team in China for a Master's in Educational Studies (focusing on Leadership, Guidance Counselling, and Careers). I am an active HASS101 facilitator and Portfolio Project contributor, helping students integrate and develop employability skills. Beyond academics, I hosts HASS Postgraduate welcome sessions, represent HASS as a student ambassador, and lecture in UQU's English oral proficiency workshops. I aim to passionately foster a sense of belonging among students, especially international peers. In daily life, I find solace in music, read avidly, and enjoy profound contemplation.

Hi, my name is Najma! I'm an undergraduate student hailing from Caboolture who's currently studying a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Education (Secondary) majoring in Geography and Psychology. In 2024, I'll also be engaging in a volunteer student mentor position with the Young Achievers Program at UQ.
