National Student Volunteer Week 2021

What is National Student Volunteer Week?

National Student Volunteer Week (9-15 August) celebrates and empowers students and young people to rise up and participate in their local communities.

At UQ we have a large number of volunteers and we are joining in with the National campaign to celebrate all their hard work.

The connection gained through volunteering provides students with a sense of belonging and ownership, whilst developing leadership and empathy skills.

Throughout the week UQ will be giving students a range of opportunities to join volunteering, celebrate their fellow volunteers, and most importantly have fun getting involved!

Through NSVW we aim to:

  • Celebrate, promote and support student volunteering
  • Empower young people to discuss and innovate through volunteering
  • Strengthen relationships
  • Build a mighty new generation of volunteers to uplift our communities.
