National Student Volunteer Week

National Student Volunteer Week acknowledges and celebrates student volunteers and promotes volunteering to students and young people across Australia. The theme for 2025 is Powered by Purpose.

From 4 to 8 August, UQ will be giving students a range of opportunities to meet volunteering-involved organisations, celebrate their fellow volunteers, and most importantly have fun getting involved!

2025 theme: Powered by Purpose

#PoweredbyPurpose shines a light on the motivations that drive young volunteers. It’s about the fuel, values, beliefs, and passion that inspire students and young people to contribute to causes they care about. This theme invites reflection and storytelling. Why do you give your time? What cause drives you? It reinforces that student volunteering is rooted in meaning, not just action. Learn more about this national initiative.
