About Me

Hi! My name is Kelly and I am a second year Master of Public Health student. I have a background in nursing back in Taiwan in primary healthcare settings, dedicated to promoting individuals' health and wellbeing while empowering them. I am deeply committed to increasing awareness of health conditions and maximum individuals' capacity.

I have been engaged with student-led organizations and now serve as the President of Graduate Union of Taiwanese Student Association, where I contribute to organizing community events and supporting Taiwanese students in their transition to life and study in Brisbane. Now in my second year at UQ, I am dedicated to supporting and navigating my peers to live smoothly and thrive, especially for those who share similar backgrounds. Having experienced the challenges they are likely to face, I am motivated to offer guidance and support. As an international student, I understand the confusion of looking for support when sick, the frustration of not getting along well with people from diverse backgrounds, the loneliness of being away from home in a different country where speaking a different language, and the anxiety of not being understood because of cultural differences. I’d like to extend my contribution to all CALDs students and promote an inclusive campus environment in UQ.

I’m excited to be a part of the UQ Wellbeing community, where I can listen, learn, and contribute to making our campus a place where every student feels supported and welcomed.
