3x3 Basketball Tournament returns to UQ!
The world’s number one urban team sport is returning to UQ! UQ Life in collaboration with UQ Sport brings you the sixth annual 3x3 UQ Slam Basketball Tournament! 3x3 UQ Slam is for ALL basketball lovers. Get your crew together to compete in 3x3 Basketball matches for your chance to win cash prizes. Bring your friends to one of the biggest Thursday nights on campus for adrenaline-pumping matches, music, entertainment, food trucks, and heaps more!
Event registration is FREE and open to current UQ students only.
Event Details
Date: Thursday 19 September 2024
Time: Site opens at 3pm, before first matches at 4pm. Estimated finish 8:30pm
Location: UQ Sport Multi-Use Courts, UQ St Lucia campus
Prizemoney: 1st ($500), 2nd ($300), 3rd ($200) in each category
Match Length: Each match is 10mins long, or decided by the first team to score 21 points
Registration Details
- Participants must be current UQ students to be eligible to play
- Registration is completely FREE, and will open 9am Wednesday 21 August, and close 9am Thursday 12 September
- Men’s and Women’s categories available. Participants can register as a team, or as an individual
- Teams to have a minimum of 3 players, and a maximum of 5 players
- Individual entrants will be assigned to a team for the competition
