Bob Ross Art Therapy: Facilitating a therapeutic process through painting
Art Therapy is for everyone, regardless of your artistic experience and ability! Art therapy has been shown to be effective in improving self-confidence, concentration, and motor skills, as well as self-awareness and communication. Join UQ Counselling this University Mental Health Day for an Art Therapy Workshop inspired by Bob Ross' The Joy of Painting.
About Uni Mental Health Day
University ‘Uni’ Mental Health Day (UMHD) is an annual campaign held around the world to bring awareness and focus to the unique challenges students face to their mental health and social and emotional wellbeing when studying and working at a university.
Join us for UQ’s celebration of the 12th annual Australia and New Zealand UMHD from Wednesday 7 May to Thursday 15 May 2025.
Look out for activities, workshops and events promoting mental health across all campuses, and learn about the support and services available to you here at UQ and in the wider community.
Take some time to remind yourself, peers and loved ones to take care for one's mental health and wellbeing.
UMHD is hosted by UQ Wellbeing and proudly supported by Allianz Care Australia.
Keep an eye out for the full program of fun and free events held across all UQ campuses:
