About
Queensland Mental Health Week (8 — 13 October 2024) is an annual awareness week that shines a spotlight on mental health and wellbeing. This year, The University of Queensland will be celebrating Queensland Mental Health Week with a week full of activities and workshops in line with the theme of 'Connect for mental health: Self, Community, Others, Nature' to support and promote the mental health and wellbeing of the UQ Community.
At UQ, we'll be recognising Queensland Mental Health Week from the 8th to 16th October! Make sure to take time for your mental health and join us for a wide range of events wherever you are to spark conversations, build connections and learn something new for the improved mental health of us as not only individuals but a community! Mindfulness Inside and Out Walking Meditation
The Mindfulness In and Out Walking Meditation is an invitation to take some time for yourself and practice mindfulness.
Listen as Yasuyo, Student Counsellor and Mindfulness Meditation Teacher from UQ's St Lucia campus, guides you through a walk around the UQ Lakes.

This activity was created by UQ Counselling as part of their Wellbeing Programs, a a collection of helpful DIY resources and groups tailored to specific needs.
The goal of the day is to raise awareness and demystify ADHD, as well as discuss supports and challenges around neurodivergence in the University system.
